Cry Pretty Reaches A Milestone

Carrie Underwood was moved to tears during an interview at last week's Country Radio Seminar in Nashville.   UMG Nashville CEO Mike Dungan and president Cindy Mabe joined Carrie as the session was closing and surprised her with a plaque commemorating her album’s platinum status.
Carrie shares writing credit on nine songs on Cry Pretty, as well as co producer credit.  The tearful superstar said, “This means a lot, because I feel like this is the project that I’ve done, and the album that I’ve done, that is the most ‘me.’ I’m honored and I’m humbled, and God is good.”

Tanya Wakes The King

Country legend Tanya Tucker is loving her post Grammy winning resurgence.  When  Her CMT Next Woman Of Country Tour stopped in Memphis, TN Tucker was inspired by the spirit of the KING.
Tucker and her crew were treated to the VIP tour of Graceland earlier in the and the energy of  Elvis filled her soul.  Her set was full of hits, vintage cuts, casual banter with fans, an Elvis inspired pose, and a few covers of the King's classics including the often overlooked In The Ghetto.
